THE FILM MAJOR HASN'T SEEN THE TERMINATOR!!
Blows my mind that you guys never saw the 1st Terminator movie but then again I'm a huge movie nerd who goes back to watch classics. Also Topgolf looked interesting but definitely gave off better with a group similar to bowling.
That you have reduced your workload so much and you are able to have these date nights so regularly warms my soul
This golf thing reminds me of one time when my best friend Robert took me to an actual golf course to play one time when we were in high school. I'd only done minigolf, and so he had more experience with actual golf than I did. He still beat me by quite a bit, but he did say that if I kept at it, I'd at least be a natural at the line drive. That was several years ago now, so I don't think I could live up to that claim nowadays. But it was still nice to hear from him regardless.
I feel like Golf is one of those things that you can get better at by filming yourself and learning by watching it
I think you guys did great. I was hopeless the first time I played, and I would have been so embarassed to have somebody filming me.

I usually don't like golf but I have to admit Topgolf looks like fun also the original Terminator movie is an excellent movie and really impressive for its budget and how it was made.

What you showed of TopGolf reminds me of the Target mini game in Wii Sports. I remember my Grandpa loving that. I think he would have liked TopGolf.
Oooooooooooooh man you've never seen the original Terminator? You'll need to watch T2 soon! It's a phenomenal sequel
Still need to check out TopGolf, myself. Its a tricky sport, but a lot of fun once you get the hang of it! One thing that helped me out a lot, back in the day, was to have the ball toward the left side of the body when using a driver. It makes the swing feel a lot more comfortable.
Man I love TopGolf. I went there for my Bachelorette party and we all had a great time.
I was never a golf fan, but wasn't this in GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony where you had to hit the ball and hit the guy who was strapped to the golf cart?

Ahhh, Top Golf. Not my favorite place.
See, we went there at night and I had no idea what it was really. But when you enter a place and immediately get sensory overload because of the music, volume, and lights, (mind you, we went at night) that's not a good sign. On top of that, we were on one of the highest floor and I'm petrified of heights.
I managed to acclimate enough to my surroundings to function a bit eventually. But my balance was a bit off. I tried striking a ball a couple times and almost slipped off the ledge.
Definitely not a place for me.
2/5 stars I almost died.
There's a Topgolf place about 40 minutes away from me. I'd like to try it at some point!
Have you seen The Thing? Also a 40 year old movie and the effects hold up so well!! Like the practical effects in that movie are so impressive. With spooky season coming up it might be a good one
I forget if you've mentioned it before, but if you haven't seen the sequel, I recommend it!

My wife and I loved Top Golf as non golfers. The strategy of aim for the red hole is how my wife beat me.

You should really watch Terminator 2 also. Especially if you know nothing about it.
I’m not much of a golfer but Aren’t you supposed to have *low* numbers in Golf which means Stephen actually won?
From my understanding, the opposite is true. Topgolf isnt really about getting to a hole in the least amount of strokes; you get multiple balls unlike regular golf, so it’s more about getting points and accuracy. Think like Darts but with golfing equipment instead. Hope this helps! :)
Regular golf, yes. TopGolf, it’s more about scoring points.
Yea like the others have said, the main game is basically scoring points for how close you get it to the different holes (furthest away = more points = good.) Consider it more of a driving range rather than a game of golf, so you just wanna hit the ball far and hard since you only get one hit of the ball and have lots of balls, instead of getting multiple strokes to putt a single ball. I haven't tried the other variations though aside from the standard game.
Arguably and in my opinion Terminator 2 is better than the first one
